A Quilt top isn't really a quilt until it's sandwiched with batting and backing, quilted or tied, and bound around the edges.  This lost art is hard to come by, but at Union Lutheran Church they still quilt tops by hand, no machines

Ongoing:  North Whitehall Township  9 1 1  Reflective Address Signs

North Whitehall Township Emergency Services Organization is selling green metal address signs with white reflective numbers for a cost of $10.00.

During a heavy downpour, a blinding snow storm, or a foggy night your house number may not be visible from the street as well as you think it is.

When the fire company, ambulance or State Police are trying to locate your house in response to an emergency call, minutes matter.

These 9 1 1 address signs are highly visible at night and during bad weather, and will save precious minutes when First Responders are looking for an address.

The signs will have your address displayed on both sides and can be attached vertically or horizontally.

If you want to place an order or would like more information, you can contact the NOVA (Northern Valley Ambulance Corp) business office at 610-262-1075 during business hours, Monday throughout Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Your fire company will contact you when your sign is ready. They will have more information on where and how to install the sign.

October 02: Blessing of the Animals @ Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville 

Sunday,4:00pm; Blessing of the Animals Worship Service at Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville PA 18078. To be held in the Outdoor Worship Area. In case of rain, the service will be held in the Family Life Center. All animals are welcome, provided they are under physical control (leash, harness, bridle or crate) and are safe to be around others. If your animal is unable to be present, an article representing them (picture, collar, a toy, halter, etc.) will be blessed on their behalf. Please bring a chair for your comfort.

Awards given for Top 3 Males and Females after race. Not a chip time race. Racers with dogs will participate in the 1 Mile Dog Walk/Run OR 5K Race. All other racers will participate in the 5K Walk/Run. All participants and dogs are encouraged to dress in costumes. Awards will be given to the best dressed costumes for dogs and participants.
